More Sites Like Textbroker

October 27, 2011

Though I don’t think content farms are the way to go at the moment, everyone needs a fast buck. Here are two more sites that pay regularly for easy work:

Cloudcrowd: This company works through Facebook and pays every day. The tasks are small and don’t pay well, but the money is almost instantaneous and reliable. You will need credentials and must pass tests to accept the higher-paying types of jobs.

Valley Direct Media: They offer a never-ending stream of work and pay $4 per 400 words. However, the articles are simple. This company wants volume, so you’re paid more per article if you produce more. However, the time between application and acceptance is very very long.

Looks like I sure picked the wrong time to join textbroker, lol. I see there’s never any 2 or 3 star assignments there. It looks like it’ll be arduous getting jobs unless you start at level 4,

I managed to find the application link to DVM after a bit of searching, thanks for the heads up.

      Craig-
Unfortunately review times for ratings are very slow at the moment. I emailed the Textbroker team a few weeks ago and they said they were in the process of rating articles from August. I randomly had some more recent articles rated a few days ago, but it seems like raising your level will take a long time. Try Writer Access as well!

You’re right about Valley Direct, they say they’ll get back to you in 2-4 business days, but It’s been over a week since I applied to them without a further response.

Also, I’ve heard textbroker assignments are going to their “teams” mostly, so it’ll be slim pickings for the rest of us unless we join one, I suppose.

Craig- Where did you hear that about Textbroker? I belong to several teams but have so far seen no assignments. Maybe they are getting snatched very quickly or my teams are just inactive. Also, the time from application to team acceptance seems to take a very long time. They’re probably flooded with requests.

Chin up, it took me a month to hear back from VDM!

Thanks, I guess I’ll hurry up and wait, lol.

About TB, it was from a posting in a BH forum a couple days ago:

“Textbroker used to be nice but it’s a bit empty as of late. Team Orders took about half of all available orders, so it’s either

    1. You’re on a team.
    2. You take on crappy Open Orders with terrible instructions and too much research required.”

Anyways, I came across a site that has some writing jobs available to bid (I haven’t used it yet) that might be of interest, peopleperhour.com

Oh well that’s depressing. I’ve been steadily applying for TeamOrders. I really think they’re a good idea but the system is clearly still clunky. Thanks for the site! It seems similar to Elance. I’ll definitely check it out. Let me know if you get anything good on there! Best of luck.
